Smart Financial Centre

The City of Sugar Land (Texas) retained CSL International to provide a market, financial and economic impact analysis for a proposed 6,500 seat live entertainment venue. CSL reviewed the demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the local market and markets with venues similar to the contemplated facility, analyzed concert industry trends, analyzed competitive and comparable facilities and held interviews with concert and other event promoters. Additionally, market studies were conducted with concert goers and the Sugar Land corporate community to determine market demand and further assess the facility’s viability. Based on these analyses, CSL was able to develop estimates of potential event demand and attendance from which a financial model was developed representing potential operations and the economic impact the facility could generate to the area.

Smart Financial Centre opened in January 2017 at a cost of $84 million.
