CSL, in collaboration with Venue Solutions Group, was engaged by the Louisville Arena Authority in the Fall of 2010 to conduct a business and operations review of the KFC Yum! Center, a new 18,000-seat multi-purpose arena. The venue is owned by the Authority and managed by the Kentucky State Fair Board which also manages the convention center and state fairgrounds.
The operations and business review included an exhaustive review of the management and operations of the venue and included recommendations to enhance revenues, reduce expenses and operate more effectively. The review included interviews with key management personnel from the Authority, the Fair Board, operations, sales & marketing, finance, event services, human resources, information technology, and other pertinent departments. The review also included observation of event day operations and the compilation of benchmark utilization, staffing, structure, financial and other data to identify best practices and areas to target for improvements.
