Education: Mr. Lankford received a BBA from the University of Michigan with "high distinction", and received his law degree cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.

Lance Lankford is an attorney with more than fifteen (15) years experience in the sports and entertainment industry representing various teams and facilities. He has served as a consultant on sports and entertainment-related projects with the City of Las Vegas, the City of Stockton, California, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the owners of both Gilley’s and Billy Bob’s, two of the most significant country entertainment venues in the United States. He has also assisted the Hunt Sports Group on several occasions related to legal issues pertaining to the operation of Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.

Mr. Lankford spent nearly six years as Vice President/General Counsel for Center Operating Company, LP with responsibility for overseeing all legal issues related to the financing, construction and operations of the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Mr. Lankford also has significant lobbying experience with the Texas State Legislature on sports related issues, obtaining passage of the “Public Entertainment Facility Act” in 2003. Prior to his time with Center Operating Company, he was Corporate Counsel for the Dallas Stars, where he worked with the Cities of Euless, Plano and Duncanville to develop recreational ice skating complexes operated by the Dallas Stars. He was also responsible for negotiating player contracts on behalf of the team and oversaw all legal aspects of the operations of the Stars, Texas Rangers and Mequite Rodeo. Mr. Lankford has also spent time with the Detroit Red Wings and the law firm of Dickinson Wright, PLLC in Detroit.

Mr. Lankford was raised in suburban Detroit and was an all-state athlete in both hockey and football in high school. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Michigan and the Sports Lawyers Association.
