The University of Iowa retained CSL to assess the market and financial feasibility of a potential expansion of Kinnick Stadium, the home of the University’s football team. As an initial step, CSL reviewed a previous market study and provided a critique of the methodology and findings. Subsequently, an independent primary market analysis involving 725 telephone surveys was conducted to develop estimates of appropriate premium seating inventories and prices that could be supported in a renovated stadium. A financial analysis was performed to assess the incremental revenues that could be derived from a renovated facility. Finally, a funding analysis was conducted to identify and analyze potential project funding sources.

Based on the results of the CSL study, the Iowa Board of Regents approved an $87 million renovation of Kinnick Stadium, which was completed in 2006.
