CSL was retained by the University of Central Florida to provide a market and financial feasibility for the development of a new arena and conference center on campus. As part of this effort, CSL analyzed the historical operations of the existing UCF Arena, collected information from recently-built collegiate arenas to identify recent trends in arena construction, surveyed local corporations and booster club members to assess interest in making philanthropic contributions and/or purchasing premium seating at the proposed new arena and interviewed event promoters to assess interest in utilizing the new facility. Based on the results of market research, CSL developed recommendations regarding appropriate building program elements and estimated the event levels and financial performance of the proposed facility.

The $107 million, 9,465-seat UCF Arena opened in 2007 and serves as the home of the UCF Knights men’s and women’s basketball teams and also hosts commencements, concerts and other events.
