CSL assisted the District of Columbia Sports and Entertainment Commission (DCSEC) as the Commission sought to attract a Major League Baseball franchise to a new or renovated stadium in Washington, DC. CSL performed financial analyses based on various new stadium configurations as well as a renovated RFK stadium. Additionally, an economic impact analysis was performed to determine the economic and fiscal benefits a new franchise could bring to the region. Finally, CSL analyzed the potential funding sources available to the District. Following this initial engagement, CSL was again retained by DC Baseball to perform a study on the impact a new Washington franchise would have on the Baltimore Orioles franchise.
