The Kansas City Chiefs retained CSL to assist the team in evaluating a potential renovation of Arrowhead Stadium or the development of a new facility. CSL performed a detailed market analysis to assess the Kansas City area’s ability to support a new or renovated facility. Surveys of local corporations and existing Chiefs seating purchasers were conducted to help estimate the demand for seating at a new versus renovated facility. Further, CSL worked with the Chiefs’ architectural firm to analyze the costs and benefits of various stadium development scenarios. Finally, we evaluated the economic parameters of a new or renovated stadium, including the effect stadium development could have on the Chiefs financial picture, as well as its economic impact on the Kansas City area.

A $375 million renovation of Arrowhead Stadium was completed in 2010 after Jackson County voters approved a tax increase to fund renovations. The Chiefs agreed to a lease extension through 2031 as part of the renovation.
