The Pittsburgh Steelers hired CSL International to provide a feasibility study for the expansion of Heinz Field. The feasibility study’s primary focus was the addition of 1,000 to 3,000 premium seating in the south end zone but also included a review of other revenue generating opportunities throughout the stadium. CSL’s work effort included a review of premium seating and ticketing trends in the NFL, market research, surveys, conceptualization of premium seating schemes for the south end zone and the development of financial pro formas to determine the cost/benefit of various potential improvements including the return on investment to the Steelers.

In 2012, the Pittsburg Steelers announced a $39 million expansion plan to add 3,000 seats to Heinz Field’s south end zone.
